ISL Group implements customized logistics solution at the Langenau location for Bosch Rexroth

Langenau/Saarwellingen: After only 237 days of construction, the time had come: The new ISL Logistic Center for the Bosch Rexroth plant in Elchingen was officially inaugurated on 4 May. In the future, on 10,000 square meters of floor space, ISL will manage warehouse logistics, that is to say, more than 17,000 different items – for Bosch Rexroth. With a total investment of eight million euros, over 100 new jobs will emerge in Langenau, the majority of which, for skilled workers.

In September 2011 ISL and Bosch Rexroth agreed to the establishment of the new Logistic Center. Thanks to good cooperation with local authorities and a streamlined organization, partners were able to stand up the new building in just eight months. Normally one estimates at least one year for a project the size of this logistic center. The short construction time also demanded a quick and professional cooperation of the project team that is responsible for the customization of warehouse logistics.

The professional solution, with the help of the scalable, ISL-owned warehouse-management-system „Mobile WMS,“ is an individual solution to the specific production requirements of the Bosch Rexroth plant in Elchingen. It works paperless and ergonomic, follows orders in real time and guarantees an optimal picking, and with that, the maximum picking performance of the highest quality.

Quick response and delivery times with highest transparency:
The logistics center in the immediate vicinity of the plant enables ISL, to supply the necessary parts with short response and delivery times in sync with the production plant. Flexibly working in shifts, the logistics center is always on call, ready at all times, for production. The availability of goods for Bosch Rexroth, is associated with the modern warehouse management combined with the high level of transparency. Interfaces to the SAP system make product flow directly available.
